First Time Rentals

First Time Rentals – or maybe it’s the first time in a while? Got2Go Car Hire wants to make the experience of renting a car fast, easy and convenient. Follow our simple steps and you’ll be Set2Go in no time.

Make your booking:

If you are a New Zealand customer, we encourage you to book through any Travel Agent in your local area. Book and pay in your own currency and enjoy the benefits of having your booking secured for you. Take advantage of the additional specials only available through your Agent. You may also prefer to book online or by phone.

If you are from Australia, you may also use your travel agent or if you prefer, to book online or by phone.

Book online

  1. Go direct to our Book Now page on the website.
  2. Enter in your preference – pick up or delivery and the dates and times you have in mind and your age category.
  3. Click on “select your vehicle”
  4. Choose what size or type of vehicle best suits your needs, keeping in mind, your luggage requirements.
  5. Click on “confirm your booking”
  6. Double check the information you have already loaded and enter in all your personal information to enable us to send you a confirmation
  7. Submit your request
  8. You will receive a quote confirmation
  9. Got2Go will email you to confirm availability and request a deposit to secure your vehicle.

You will speak direct to one of our friendly reservations staff, who will run through the entire process by phone and send you a confirmation either by email, fax or mail.

Collect your car:

  1. We will meet you directly off your flight at all airport locations OR
    We will deliver your vehicle to the Hotel of your choice.
  2. You may choose to collect your vehicle from our depot either in Brisbane or Gold Coast only.
  3. You will need to supply us with a valid open Drivers License and a Credit Card for security.
  4. You may pay for your vehicle in advance by Credit Card or direct credit to our account or pay the remainder after deposit on arrival by AUD cash or Credit Card only. Debit cards cannot be accepted.
  5. You will be offered choices on Collision Damage Waiver, Additional Drivers and Accessories such as GPS. These are all options only.

On the road:

  1. You will be supplied with a Full Street Directory at no additional cost.
  2. If required, Roadside Assistance is available to you 24hrs per day, 7 days per week.
  3. Only the drivers nominated on the contract may drive the vehicle, otherwise the contract is in breach and may void your Collision Damage Waiver or Travel Insurance.
  4. You are obligated to follow the road rules and no vehicle in our fleet is able to be taken off road.

Returning your vehicle:


Returning your vehicle is extremely simple and convenient
  1. Make sure your vehicle is full of Fuel before returning.
  2. You may return to all airport location car parks as instructed by your Customer Service Officer or as per your contract.
  3. Make sure you remove your personal belongings.
  4. Lock the vehicle and return the keys to the designation as instructed by your Customer Service Officer or as per your contract (each location is different).
  5. If we are collecting from a Hotel, please leave the keys at Reception and we will collect the vehicle at our earliest convenience.
